Air Heads
Daily collage practice during Balloon Fiesta

With initial inspiration from Magritte's Son of Man, this series of collages visually references the ways that the Balloon Fiesta overtakes our routines and minds, as hot air balloons fill the sky and visitors pack the roads. The name, Air Heads, invokes the distracted feelings. As a disabled and chronically ill person who manages fatigue and fog, Air Heads is also about my experiences, across settings and time, of feeling foggy and out of place.
